Fibershed is a non-profit organization working to build regionally-based fiber and textile systems that improve ecosystem and community health. From their Learning Center just outside Point Reyes Station, CA, Fibershed offers classes and events focused on developing textile, fiber and natural dye skills in our community, and on supporting regional fiber producers who create clothing, home goods and other textile products that enhance our regional environment and economy.
The working model of the Fibershed Learning Center exemplifies how our regional landscapes can build biodiversity, enhance abundance of native flora and fauna, and increase carbon sequestration, while generating fiber and natural dye products for our community.
