2023 Irrigation Association Outstanding Public Engagement Award

Marin Water earned the 2023 Smart Water Application Technologies Award for educating the public on efficient irrigation. Charlotte Torgovitsky contributed as co-author and instructor in the Watershed Approach to Landscaping Program.

2025 City of Novato “Sustainability Superstars” Award

Charlotte Torgovitsky transformed an acre in Novato’s Indian Valley into Home Ground Habitats, a pesticide—free nursery and learning center using native and drought-tolerant plants to restore biodiversity and teach sustainable gardening.

2024 Marin Conservation League John M McPhail, Jr. Green Business Award

Home Ground Habitats, founded by Charlotte Torgovitsky, received this award for advancing green business through native plant propagation, habitat education, and community donations that support local restoration efforts.
